Exercise #1: the first perspective

“…Excuse me?” She might wonder whether someone dials a wrong number.

“Hello—this is Mrs.A, Mr.E’s secretary. What can I help you?” She repeated.

“Umm…Can I…talk to Mr.E…now?”

“What’s your name?” I guess she lifts her right arm so that she can hold the phone between her ear and shoulder. She tries to write down my name.

I feel tired, sleepy. “I’m…ahh.. I’m his…daughter.”

I guess she gets angry and feels it is a phone fraud. She rebuts, “Mr.E doesn’t have a daughter.”
