Tom and I were bosom buddies. Although we were good friends,Tom and I were as different as chalk and cheese. While I emerged as the top pupil every year, Tom always failed his examination. Thus, his parents could not bear it any longer. Tom's father had told him that if he failed his examination one more time, he would take all his privileges away-no phone, no computer, no television. Tom could not continue life without these gadgets and was heartbroken. He knew his father was not joking because he had already bought him a stack of test papers to do. They were all waiting for him on his table.
